Grand Opening of the Painting and Iconography Exhibition in Thessaloniki

The New Conference Center of the Region of Central Macedonia recently hosted the grand opening of the annual Painting and Iconography Exhibition. Organized by the Association of Artists of Thessaloniki and Northern Greece, this prestigious event is held under the auspices of the Region of Central Macedonia, in close cooperation with the Vice Governor for Culture and Sports, Christos Mittas, who officially inaugurated the exhibition.
The opening ceremony welcomed a large crowd of art enthusiasts and featured vibrant cultural performances, including a showcase by the “Asklepios” dance group and musical performances by Lois Theosidis and Magda Theosidou. This celebration beautifully captures a magical dialogue between art and tradition, filling the venue with color, light, and spirituality.
The Region of Central Macedonia continues its consistent support for initiatives aimed at promoting culture and highlighting the rich artistic creativity of the region.
Among the remarkable works on display is a stunning oil-on-canvas portrait titled “Tosounidou Eleni” (60 cm × 50 cm), completed on June 16, 2026. The exhibition offers visitors a wonderful opportunity to discover outstanding talent, including the work of the wonderful artist Ksenia Yarovaya from the Yarovaya Gallery.
